Perussuomalaisiin kytketty ajatuspaja Suomen Perusta on julkaissut Jukka Hankamäen kirjan Totuus kiihottaa. Kirjassa kerrotaan muun muassa naisten seksistä kieltäytymisen todellisuudessa tarkoittavan heidän haluavan seksiä.
Sosiaalisessa mediassa kirjan vastaanotto on ollut hyvin tyrmäävä ja monessa paikassa on teilattu niin Suomen Perusta kuin perussuomalaisetkin. Perussuomalaisten puheenjohtaja Jussi Halla-aho sekä varapuheenjohtaja Riikka Purra kiistävät puolueensa olevan tekemisissä julkaisun kanssa.
– Puolue ei ennakkotarkasta Suomen Perustan julkaisuja eikä osallistu julkaisupäätösten tekemiseen. Ajatuspajan julkaisut eivät ole puolueen kannanottoja tai ohjelmia, eikä niitä pidä sellaisina tulkita, Halla-aho ja Purra toteavat tiedotteessa.
Kyseistä kirjaa he eivät ole vielä ehtineet lukea. Yleisesti ottaen perussuomalaisten johdon mielestä heidän sanomaansa useimmiten käytetään toisin kuin olisi ollut tarkoitettu.
– Meillä on kokemusta siitä, että perussuomalaisten sanomisia revitellään asiayhteydestään irrotettuna, jolloin viesti hämärtyy. Hankamäen kirjasta lainattujen katkelmien asiayhteys ei tällä hetkellä ole tiedossamme, mutta ensisilmäyksellä herää ajatus, että harkintakyky ja laadunvalvonta ei julkaisuprosessissa ole toiminut toivotulla tavalla.
– Olemme kehottaneet Suomen Perustaa kiinnittämään asiaan huomiota, ja puolue käy ajatuspajan kanssa keskustelua siitä, miten perussuomalaisten tavoitteiden kannalta haitallisilta kohuilta voidaan välttyä.
Perussuomalaisten puheenjohtajisto on pitänyt Suomen Perusta ulostuloja ja tutkimuksia oikeanlaisina, ja he ovat niitä useita jakaneet myös sosiaaliseen mediaan.
– Suomen Perusta on julkaissut ensiluokkaisia tutkimuksia ja puheenvuoroja maahanmuuttoon, ilmastopolitiikkaan, eurooppalaiseen integraatioon ja muihin perussuomalaisille tärkeisiin teemoihin liittyen. Toivomme, että se vaalii uskottavuuttaan kiinnittämällä suurta huomiota julkaisujensa laatuun.
Suomen Perustan hallituksessa istuu useita perussuomalaisten jäseniä. Hallituksessa istuvat muun muassa tiedotteen allekirjoittanut varapuheenjohtaja Riikka Purra, eduskunnan varapuhemies Juho Eerola sekä europarlamentaarikko Laura Huhtasaari.
