Tikkurilan Tiikerit lähtee tulevaan, toiseen kauteensa F-Liigassa kokeneempana ja valmiimpana joukkueena. Tiikereiden ensimmäinen liigakausi päättyi sarjapaikan säilyttämiseen ja sijaan 11.
Joukkuetta on vahvistettu merkittävillä suomalaisilla pelaajilla, kun Tiikeripaidan pukevat päällensä kaudella 2020-2021 liigassa 386 ottelua pelannut Janne Salonen ja Sveitsin Kloten-Dietlikon Jetsissä vuoden pelannut 109 liigaottelun mies Teemu Suomalainen.
– Tämä on hyppy uuteen. Toimintatavat ovat varmasti erilaiset kuin EräViikingeissä, jossa vietin seitsemän vuotta. Innolla kohti tulevaa. Nuori potentiaalinen joukkue, rakennusvaihe menossa. – Ryhmä on tietoisesti edellistä kautta kapeampi, mutta kilpailutilanne on korkeampi. Jokaiselle pelipaikalle löytyy laadukkaita vaihtoehtoja. Saimme mukaan liigatasolla jo onnistuneita pelaajia ja nuoria tavoitteellisia, eteenpäin pyrkiviä urheilijan alkuja, Tiikereiden päävalmentaja Miro Mäkelä iloitsee.
Viime kausi oli koko organisaatiolta vielä opettelua liigakentille, mutta tuosta vuodesta selvittiin kuivin jaloin. Oppia on otettu niin pelikentällä kuin kaukalon ulkopuolellakin.
