Veikkausliigan joukkueet saivat hyviä uutisia, kun hallitus on tarkentanut ulkoilmatapahtumien katsojarajoituksia. Alun perin 500 henkilön rajoitukset koskivat koko tapahtumaa, mukaan lukien kaikki stadionilla olevat henkilöt.

Nyt uuden tarkennuksen jälkeen tuo 500 henkilöä voidaan rajata eri katsomolohkoihin, joka mahdollistaa useamman katsojan sisäänpääsyn. Muun muassa Sonera Stadiumille on uusien säännösten jälkeen mahdollista ottaa parhaimmillaan 2 500 henkeä katsomaan ottelua.

Erilliseen katsomolohkoon täytyy olla oma kulkureittinsä, omat saniteettitilat ja palvelut sekä oma tapahtumahenkilökuntansa. Katsomolohkojen välillä on oltava myös selkeä suojavyöhyke. Katsojien turvaetäisyyksistä tulee myös huolehtia.

Muiden ulko- ja sisätiloissa järjestettävien yleisötilaisuuksien ja yleisissä tiloissa järjestettävien tilaisuuksien osalta 1. elokuuta lähtien päätetään viikolla 25. Tuleva linjaus tulee perustumaan epidemilogiseen tilannekuvaan ja rajoitusten purkamisten vaikutuksiin.
